Mosquito misting systems are typically used around: homes, pools and hot tubs, patios, decks, recreation areas, outdoor restaurants, entertainment facilities, farms and stables, more. Our system consists of a reservoir, a control unit, and a pump that are stationed in a garage, shed or another designated outdoor area with close access to water and electricity. A timer triggers the system to pump the "juice" through the installed line, which releases a fine mist through a series of high-PSI nozzles. The system is fully automated to mist just 2 – 3 times per day at 30 – 60 second intervals. The system also includes a remote control that allows you to manually trigger the mist between regularly timed intervals, plus a battery back-up system that keeps the timer correct in the event of a power outage.

Immediately! Right after the first spraying, you will notice remarkably fewer annoying insects within the boundaries of your property. After a week or two the results will be even more dramatic. Remember, however, nothing is 100% effective, but as long as the system is operating on the scheduled timer, you can expect about 95%+ efficacy.

For most properties, just 2-3 times per day for approximately 30-60 seconds. This can be adjusted up or down depending on your results.

While fogging will be effective against any live populations of mosquitoes, misting will also target the eggs before they have hatched as well as larvae. The droplets in the mist are larger than those used in fogging, so will hit their targets more effectively. If you don't already have a misting system, fogging can be a quick fix way to get your yard somewhat bug free, such as if you are hosting a party or event in your yard, but not for long term use. Fogging sprays a highly toxic chemical into the grass, landscaping, trees and bushes, and surrounding areas, thus only killing the adult mosquitoes currently present in the area or flying through the fog. This does not account for the mosquito larvae and other bugs. Additionally, with our region's somewhat temperamental climate, mosquito fogging has significantly reduced efficacy due to frequent rain. Even sprinklers can ruin it! Then there is nothing is there to replace it until the next application. When fogging is done it usually can last anywhere from 4-8 hours. An important thing to note is that fogging methods do not completely rid of the mosquitoes, they just reduces the number temporarily.
